The most carefree period of my life ...

I must admit that when I first saw that task I really didn’t have an idea what to write about. The reason was not that I have no memories from my childhood; on the contrary, there are too many of them!
First of all, when I think of my childhood, I imagine two little tots marching with their father in a hot sunny day toward a small sandy beach at the lake surrounded by the forest and fields of corn. Now, in reality, the same place does not look alike; it is not that much idyllic any more. What’s more, now it takes me less than 10 minutes to get there from my home, but when I was five, the same distance seemed to be such a big challenge to face.
Secondly, I remember my attempts to learn how to ride a two-wheeler bike. I was really afraid of that spooky vehicle! Eventually, with my parents’ help, I master this facility. But, soon after my triumph, I met an evil whole on my way, which made me overbalance and I fell over the bike. I was really lucky not to lose my precious teeth, but much time had passed until I stroke up a friendship with my pink machine again.
The photo that you can see below (by the way, sorry for its poor quality!) was taken during my first fancy-dress party at preschool. I was got up as Makowa Panienka and, whoever she was, my mom keeps on telling me that I was a huge fan of her... J
There are numerous memories from the most carefree period of my life that I keep in mind, but let me keep at least some of them as my sweet little secret ... J

My Music

I like many different songs and, in fact, what I listen to usually depends on my mood. Apparently, there are songs that bring back some good memories and always make me feel better, and those which may be the reason for blues.

Anyway, what I want to present to you is a song that reminds me of the best time that I spent with my friends during the amazing trip across Spain. Probably, if it had not been for my friend who was driven crazy by this song, I would not even be aware of its existence. J

Although, the video is not impressive and most of you will probably not understand the lyrics, I hope you will manage to listen to the song till the very end. J
Enjoy it here !

The lost teddy bear :(

Gregory Gorn is offering a $1000 reward for the return of his four-year-old daughter's missing teddy bear. The father lost Lucky last week and since then his little girl keeps on crying and can't sleep.

If you come across a beige bear, with a black nose, grey tummy, which is about 40 centimetres tall, it is highly probable that $1000 will find its way to your wallet. :)

Anyhow, isn't it sweet that the father is ready to spend such a large sum of money only to bring a smile to his kid's face? :)

Pik - Pok :)

I remember that when I was a little girl I really enjoyed listening to the fairy tales narrated by my parents and grandparents. Later, when I got to know what reading is all about, I became a books’ fan. Although things have changed because I don’t have much time for reading presently, I still keep in mind the first book that I read on my own. It is Mały Pingwin Pik-Pok written by Adam Bahdaj and first published in 1969. The story is about a little penguin that lives on an island and dreams of traveling. When a plane lands on his island, Pik-Pok hides inside and goes to Europe. In Warsaw, he makes friends with a Polish pilot and his daughter Kasia. The penguin travels a lot and has many adventures. Even though there is nothing extraordinary about that book, it is the first title that comes to my mind when I think about my childhood.

Blog task 1

Most of you probably know that my hometown is called Śrem. Since it is located not far away from Poznań (about 40 kilometers),  I usually spend my weekends there.

However, from Monday to Friday I live in a student flat near the Hetmańska/Głowgowska crossroads. I really enjoy living here! My roommates are great, even though they study German ;) The neighborhood is quite peaceful. The reason might be that the majority of people who live here are seniors, but I don’t mind as long as they do not complain about the noise coming from our apartment from time to time.

Anyhow, if you want to know more about my housing, feel free to visit me! J
